The Sella Ski 2L Powertex TirolWool®Responsive Men’s Pant is a waterproof, abrasion-resistant Powertex ski mountaineering pant with built-in additional insulation.
Weather protection & freedom of movement
For comprehensive weather protection, we engineer it with a heavy-duty, abrasion-resistant, 2-layer Powertex laminate outer fabric with a 100% PFC-free durable water-repellent finish and welded seams throughout. We also use a distinctive lighter weight 2-layer shell fabric enhanced with wool fibres, to give you greater breathabilty and freedom of movement.
Thermoregulating insulation
For insulation, this pant is lined with an additional 60-gram layer of TirolWool® Responsive padding at the top of the legs. This gives you natural warmth with the added benefit of thermoregulating synthetic insulation. TirolWool® was developed together with the Tirol Mountain Rescue Service and is made with wool from high-alpine Tirolean mountain sheep and sourced from local farmers, who are fairly paid for their wool. Our proprietary Responsive technology involves using synthetic yarns loaded with thermoreactive minerals embedded within the fabric. They work to recycle the body’s natural infrared energy and release it back over time. As such, TirolWool® Responsive is an excellent insulator in cold, wet conditions.
Functional details
At the waist, there are stretch inserts and integrated Velcro adjustment tabs to ensure a comfortable fit and ergonomic freedom of movement. For extra ventilation, there are mesh-backed zips at the upper thighs. There are plenty of secure storage options, including two waterproof front cargo pockets and two side pockets with waterproof zips. At the leg end, the intelligent zip gaiter next to the reinforced, anti-cut kick patches ensures a precise fit to prevent snow entering your boots.
